2. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing this website or enquiring about or enroling in any programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Our programmes are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By submitting an enquiry or enrolment, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Service Description
Heirpath offers educational reading programmes and operational consulting engagements related to how estate matters and family record-keeping are described in general-information sources. Our three programmes are:
- Estate Concept Reading Course — a self-paced reading programme exploring how estate-related concepts appear in published materials. Delivered over 4–8 weeks. Priced at ฿4,200.
- Family Record-Keeping Operational Consulting — a short consulting engagement (2–3 sessions) helping households design their own internal filing and review habits. Priced at ฿16,500.
- Annual Estate Concepts Reading Bundle — a yearly subscription including one printed reference book, four quarterly reading mailings, and two reflection sessions in Bangkok. Priced at ฿29,000 per year.
All programmes are strictly educational in nature. No programme constitutes, or is a substitute for, the advice of a qualified legal, financial, or other regulated professional. Geographic availability is generally limited to participants in Thailand, though reading-only components may be accessible to international participants at our discretion.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our website and programmes, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information in all enquiries and enrolment forms.
- Use the website and programme materials for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
- Not reproduce, distribute, or publish any materials supplied as part of a programme without prior written consent.
- Engage with session-based components respectfully and in good faith.
- Not attempt to disrupt or interfere with the website's operation.
5. Intellectual Property
All reading materials, reference documents, printed books, session notes, and website content produced by Heirpath are the intellectual property of Heirpath unless otherwise noted. Enroling in a programme grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use the materials for your own household purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, or distribute any programme materials in any form without our written permission. Any feedback or suggestions you share with us may be used to improve our content without obligation to you.
6. Payment Terms
Programme fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment arrangements are confirmed directly by correspondence following an enquiry. We do not collect card details through this website.
Refund policy: If you need to withdraw before a programme begins, please contact us as early as possible. Withdrawal requests received more than seven calendar days before a scheduled programme start will be considered for a partial or full refund at our discretion. Once reading materials have been posted or session delivery has begun, fees are generally non-refundable. Session-based components that are postponed by us will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at the time of enrolment confirmation.
7. Programme Terms
Reading Course: The self-paced reading course is delivered over 4–8 weeks. Access to materials begins following payment confirmation. There is no formal completion requirement; the course is intended as a reading resource, not a qualification.
Consulting Engagement: Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement. Each engagement is tailored to the household's record-keeping context. The output is a Reference Document for internal use — it does not constitute a legally operative record or a document prepared by a regulated professional.
Annual Bundle: The annual bundle runs on a 12-month cycle from the enrolment confirmation date. Printed mailings are dispatched on a quarterly schedule. Reflection sessions in Bangkok are coordinated by appointment. Renewal is by separate agreement prior to expiry.
Academic integrity: All programme content is for the enroled participant's household use. Sharing login credentials or forwarding printed materials to third parties is not permitted.
8. Disclaimers
Heirpath's programmes are educational in nature. They are not a form of legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Nothing in our materials, sessions, or correspondence should be construed as advice on any specific personal situation.
Our content describes how estate and record-keeping concepts appear in general-information sources. The practical implications of any such concepts for a particular household depend on individual circumstances and the laws applicable to that household — matters that only a qualified professional can properly address.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our reading materials accurate and current but cannot warrant that all information reflects the latest legal or regulatory developments. Website availability is provided on a best-efforts basis; we cannot warrant uninterrupted access.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heirpath will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or programme materials — including any loss arising from reliance on content that is educational rather than professional advice.
Our total liability to you for any direct loss arising from a programme will not exceed the fee paid for that specific programme. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Events outside our reasonable control (force majeure) — including postal disruptions, venue unavailability, or other circumstances — may delay programme delivery. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or substitute affected components.
10. Indemnification
You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Heirpath and its team members against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of programme materials, or any activity you undertake based on content obtained through our programmes.
11. Termination
Either party may end a programme engagement by written notice. If we terminate due to a breach of these Terms on your part, no refund will be payable. If we terminate for any other reason before programme delivery is complete, we will offer a proportional refund for the undelivered portion.
Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Dispute Resolution) survive any termination of these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms will first be addressed through direct correspondence. If the matter is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may pursue resolution through the competent courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
We are also open to mediation as an alternative to formal proceedings where both parties agree.
13. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms together with our Privacy Policy constitute the full agreement between you and Heirpath regarding use of our website and programmes.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: A failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision in the future.
- Assignment: You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a business transfer.
- Notices: Formal notices should be sent in writing to [email protected] or by post to our Bangkok address.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Effective" and "Last updated" dates at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or a programme after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where changes materially affect an ongoing programme you have paid for, we will contact you directly.
